In a report from Islamabad, Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki, the Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan revealed that till now no decisions has been made with regard to delay of Hajj 2020. He just brushed out the rumors coming around on social media that Hajj 2020 has been cancelled with view to pandemic coronavirus [COVID-19].

But with some other official reports, the representative said that Saudi Hotels and Transport service companies etc. have been asked not to link in any deal with any country till the time of confirmed decision about cancellation of Hajj 2020.

In an interview, this Saudi ambassador made a statement to special correspondent Dunya News Adeel Wararich that rumors are going on social media but the Saudi Government have not made any decision till yet. He added that Hajj 2020 may be cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Meanwhile, The Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Pir Noor-ul-Haq Qadri said there is no truth in the cancellation of Hajj 2020 till now and the surfacing on social media bout Hajj 2020 cancellation is totally untrue. Arrangements and routine chores are up to the mark for Hajj, in a Twitter statement.

He also included that The Saudi Government has not issued any direct statement to halt the Hajj 2020 rather the Saudi administration provoked not to link with any country relative to transport, residency and other final arrangements.

Pir Noor-ul-Haq Qadri stated that The Religious Affairs Ministry is in regular contact with The Saudi ministry for upcoming Hajj 2020 proceedings and Umrah.

A worth mentioning thing is that almost 179,210 Pakistanis would perform Hajj 2020 and the cancellation this religious event will harm the economies and the spiritual aspects as well.

As it is officially stated by WHO, that this pandemic coronavirus destroyed the roots of 196 countries all over the world and others are on their way as well. Till now 767 coronavirus cases have been reported in Saudi Arabia. The number of deaths is one till now.

 Having a look on the reported cases, lives of every individual matters. That’s the main reason all international events either it is Tokyo Olympics 2020 or Hajj 2020 has been cancelled.

Meanwhile, with the drastic situations Saudi King Salman Bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud announced a nationwide curfew and lockdown for the coming next 21 days. With overall opinion, the situation with reference to pandemic outbreak, precautionary measures need to be controlled so the routine tasks could be done. Avoid any public gatherings till the situation comes in switch. The religious and spiritual activities never being stopped.
